Security and Access

thinTRAK™ is a Web based application designed to simplify and manage all elements within the process of inventory handling. We have developed thinTRAK with a determined mission that its use will benefit all businesses in the management of inventory and assets. We stand confidently behind the security, reliability, and confidentiality of thinTRAK.

Access

thinTRAK offers access only to registered users who have specified an e-mail address and a password. Each thinTRAK customer is assigned a separate secure database.

Activity, Permissions and Ownership

When you download and maintain a database with thinTRAK, only the people whom you explicitly invite can actually use it. This means you have complete control over who can view, modify, or add information to your database. In addition, you can limit access to select information within your database through field-level permissions.

Security over the Web

thinTRAK employs industry-standard, 128-bit Secure Socket Layers (SSL) protocol to ensure your information is neither intercepted nor corrupted during transmission over the Internet. In addition, thinTRAK uses encryption technology to help protect your data when stored on disk.

Speed and Reliability

thinTRAK is hosted in a secure data center where even our fail-safes have fail-safes. The thinTRAK data center offers 25,000 MBit connectivity for super-fast data transfer at all times. Multiple generators, storage drives, routers, cooling systems and gel battery power banks provide real redundancy to operate regardless of external conditions. High-powered cooling units with vortex compressors work alongside heat exchangers to keep everything cool. To assure continued service, data integrity, and customer confidence, the data center and thinTRAK system uses:
  • intrusion detection software to stop unauthorized access attempts and other suspicious activity
  • the most advanced firewall software
  • daily back-ups of all information stored with thinTRAK to prevent data loss
  • 24x7x365 security, including trained personnel, video surveillance, and alarms, to prevent physical breaches
  • uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) and multiple back-up generators in case of power outage
  • smoke detection and fire suppression systems
In case of natural disaster, we have a second and separate data center that redundantly protects and stores all customer information and assets.

Confidentiality

Not even thinTRAK personnel are allowed to access the information contained within your databases without your express permission.
